Our Mission

Our mission at St. James' is to offer a safe, nurturing, Christian environment. Qualified teachers will provide a developmentally appropriate early childhood program

Our Philosophy

St. James’ Preschool is based on the philosophy that children are best served in an environment that stimulates and encourages creative and developmental growth appropriate to each child’s individual needs.

State Licensed Preschool

Our State Licensed Preschool provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development.

Staff

Our qualified staff will serve as positive role models and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, warm and responsive to each child’s individual needs. We offer a loving environment with low student/staff ratios. Classes usually consist of 12 students, one lead teacher and one assistant.

 Readiness Skills & Development

Our goal is to provide each child the following basic readiness skills on a developmentally appropriate level:

Self-help skills --- Fine motor skills --- Large motor skills --- Math Skills --- Language skills --- Social/Personal development

We accomplish these skills through hands-on activities that include the following interest areas:

Blocks --- Creative art --- Dramatic play --- Sensory exploration --- Library/quite area --- Table toys/manipulatives --- Outdoor/large muscle area
